Hope you’re having a great first week of the school holidays and that there’s been a little extra time for good food and enjoying the sunshine. 

There are a few fresh finds we're excited to share with you this week…

🌿 FROM THE FARMS 🌿 

🌱 Organic Globe Artichokes - Cafresco Organics

If you've ever picked up an artichoke and thought, ‘what on earth am I supposed to do with this?’ You're definitely not alone. 😂 

They look complicated, but once you know how to tackle them, they're surprisingly simple (and delicious!). 

Artichokes are also a great source of fibre and a brilliant way to mix up the veggies you're eating. Steam them and pull off the leaves to dip, grill them with olive oil and lemon, or stuff and bake them for something a little fancy. 

We actually put together a reel last year showing you what to do with one.

💛 Organic Yellow Capsicums - Boruca Farm, Cooktown

A little sunshine in veggie form. Yellow capsicums are sweet, crisp and beautifully juicy, with a milder flavour than their green and red cousins. 

Slice them fresh into salads, throw them into stir-fries, roast them alongside your favourite veggies, stuff them for dinner or chop them into sticks with hummus for an easy school holiday snack.

☀️ SCHOOL HOLIDAY TIP

If the kids are asking for snacks all. day. long… try setting up a help-yourself snack plate at the start of the day. 

Chop up whatever fruit and veggies you've got - apple, watermelon, capsicum, cucumber, carrots - and pop them in the fridge alongside a dip, cheese or something else filling. 

It gives them something easy to grab, and gets a few more whole foods into the day.
