Farmacy Weekly Report 2026 Week #17

Bowls of salads

Hey foodie! 👋🌿

If this week had a theme, it would be abundance.

There’s fresh produce coming in thick and fast, herbs absolutely thriving, and more eggs than we know what to do with. 😅

It’s one of those weeks where eating with the seasons really shows its magic - when things are growing well, there’s more to go around… and that means better value for you too.

We hope you enjoy this week’s foodie update!

🌿 FROM THE FARMS 🌿

🍎 Pomegranates – GMP Organic Farms, VIC

These beauties can be surprisingly hard to come by… most you’ll see in supermarkets are imported and sprayed pretty heavily along the way.

Ours are 100% Australian grown and organically produced, just as they should be.

Sweet, juicy, and packed with antioxidants, they’re perfect for tossing through salads, sprinkling over yoghurt, or eating straight from the bowl (highly recommended).

🥬 Small Celery Bunches – Coolibah Herbs, VIC

Crisp, fresh, and juicy. Packed with calcium and perfect for everything from homemade broths to a quick snack with nut butter, or juice it up Medical Medium style.

🍎 Red Delicious Apples – Gran Elly Orchard, Stanthorpe

These are the kind of apples that taste how real apples should. They’re grown without chemicals by the lovely farmer Dennis in Stanthorpe, and they might not have that shiny supermarket look, but what they lack in aesthetic perfection, they more than make up for in flavour.

Juicy, sweet, and a little nostalgic… like the fruit we all grew up with.

🥕 Juicing Carrots (Seconds) – Bio Farms Tasmania

A little funny lookin’… but absolutely perfect for juicing.

These certified organic seconds might not win any beauty contests, but they’re full of flavour and nutrients — and a great reminder that good food doesn’t have to look perfect.

🌿 WHAT ELSE IS FRESH? 🌿

🌱 Basil (and lots of it!) - Sandy Creek Gourmet Produce

Kel’s basil is absolutely thriving right now - fragrant, vibrant, and begging to be turned into pesto.

It’s on special too, thanks to the abundance… so now’s your moment to stock up and get a little batch cooking happening.

🥚 Eggs Aplenty

You don’t hear this every day in this economy… but we’ve actually got an abundance of eggs this week. 😅

Both Echo Valley and Belvedere eggs are on special - so whether you’re baking, scrambling, or just getting your protein in, now’s a good time to load up.

🚜 A QUICK HEADS UP (MUNGALLI DAIRY)

Mungalli Dairy prices will be increasing from April 20.

Being based up in Far North Queensland, they’ve been hit pretty hard by rising diesel costs - another reminder of how much goes on behind the scenes to get good food to your door.

🎉 LITTLE TUNA’S BIG WIN! 🎉

Some very exciting news for our friends at Little Tuna (a.k.a East Coast Tuna Co.)…

They’ve just won the MSC Award for

Best Sustainable Seafood Brand 2026!

What’s even cooler is that this one was voted by the public! We love seeing small businesses get recognised like this, especially by the community. It’s proof that people really do notice when you care about the people, the planet, and producing good food 👏

Check out their awesome range of wild-caught tuna here.

And that’s what’s new with us. 👏

We hope you have a wonderful first week post-school holidays! Here’s to another week of spreading joy with good food. 🌱
