Farmacy Weekly Report 2026 Week #36

Boxes piled up

Hey foodie! 👋

There is lots to share this week, including fresh produce specials, exciting new products, an update about Maleny Dairies and a small favour we need from our Joy community.

Fresh specials this week 🌱

Mini capsicums and zucchini have both come down in price, so we have passed those savings straight on to you.

You will also find lots of grocery items on special across the store. It is a great time to browse the specials section and stock up on some pantry favourites. 🛒

Lots of new products

We have added plenty of new goodies this week, including the new Happify Nutritional Bar. Each bar contains an impressive 20 grams of plant based protein, making it a convenient option for busy mornings, lunchboxes, after exercise or those afternoons when you need something more substantial than a snack.

Have a browse through our new arrivals to see everything that has landed.

A note about Maleny Dairies 🥛

We have been asked why we are continuing to stock Maleny Dairies following its decision not to renew its arrangement with one Queensland farming family.

We love that people feel strongly about supporting local farmers because we are deeply passionate about it too. Maleny Dairies continues to support many Queensland dairy farms and only sources interstate milk when seasonal shortages mean there is not enough available locally.

We do not know the full circumstances behind this decision, and as fellow small business owners, we also understand that businesses sometimes have to make incredibly difficult decisions while balancing rising costs and customers’ expectations around price. There are also very few Queensland dairy brands able to offer the range, volume and consistent supply our customers need.

We currently stock both Maleny Dairies and Mungalli Biodynamic Milk, giving customers a choice. If there is another brand you would like us to consider, please let us know. We pride ourselves on listening and responding to our community, and we will continue asking questions and making considered decisions based on the full picture.

We have a box shortage! 📦

We are having a surprisingly difficult time getting enough fruit and vegetable boxes. We normally purchase sturdy second hand boxes with lids, but right now we are struggling to find any.

To keep deliveries moving, we are using some of our branded courier boxes as well as suitable boxes that our own deliveries arrive in. Waste not, want not! ♻️

Reusing boxes helps us reduce waste and keep costs down, so we would be incredibly grateful if you could please return all the boxes we give you.

When opening our branded cardboard boxes, please be gentle with the top. The flaps slide into place to secure the box and can be reused many times if they are opened carefully.

Styrofoam lids also break very easily, and replacement lids are surprisingly difficult to find. Please remove tape gently and take a little extra care with both the boxes and lids.

We would also love you to return:

Insulated wrapping
Ice packs
Clean, empty plastic bottles with lids that can be used as ice packs

Simply leave them out for your driver when your next delivery is due. 🚚

Thank you for helping us reuse what we already have. It saves money, reduces waste and keeps useful packaging circulating for as long as possible.

Eat happy! 💚
