About the Grower
All almonds are sourced directly from Casarosa Almonds, a family-run orchard in South Australia's Riverland. Led by third-generation farmer Jarrad Casaretto, the team grows and harvests their almonds with a strong focus on soil health, biodiversity, and minimal intervention. No synthetic pesticides, fumigants, or glyphosate are used at any stage. Packing is also handled on-site to ensure the nuts reach customers at peak freshness.

The available variety changes throughout the year depending on what Jarrad and his team have ready to harvest. Each variety has its own character:

- Carmel - An early-season variety, slightly smaller and rounder than Nonpareil, with a softer skin and a more intense almond flavour.
- Price - A smaller almond with a sweet, buttery flavour, well suited to both snacking and use as an ingredient. Originally from California, it is used to cross-pollinate with Nonpareil trees.
- Monterey - A smooth, soft-shell variety with large, flat, meaty kernels. A popular choice for both eating and baking.
- Independent - A relatively new variety developed in 2008 and one of the few self-pollinating almonds available. Tends to be smaller with a higher oil content.
