These are a delicious, feel-good Easter treat that will leave you satisfied rather than chocolated-out. Sweet, simple, and made from real ingredients you actually recognise… no weird stuff, just good food doing its thing.
They’ve got that caramel-like chew from Medjool dates, creamy nut butter, a bit of crunch, and a decadent chocolate coating.
This is the kind of choccy you can enjoy without the sugar crash… and still go back for seconds. Or thirds. It is Easter, after all.
Ingredients
- Fresh Organic Medjool Dates
- Peanut Butter (can use almond or other nut butter of choice)
- Roasted Almonds (any whole nut can be used)
- Dark chocolate (melted)
-
Sea salt and/or crushed nuts, to sprinkle on top
Method:
1. Split a medjool date and remove seed.
2. Place one almond (or chosen nut) inside.
3. Fill the remainder of the inside with peanut butter (or nut butter of choice). Option to shape these into an egg but they look pretty egg-like without the trouble.
4. Then dip these into your melted dark chocolate (or if this is too rich for you, drizzle the chocolate over top) and onto a lined tray.
5. Top with a sprinkle of sea salt and/or nuts and set your treats in the fridge or freezer.
You can store either of these in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 weeks, or the freezer for 1-2 months.
Happy Easter! We hope these bring a little extra joy to your weekend. Eat well, feel good, and enjoy every bite. 🍫
